Feb 20, 2026 · Enfield Lee Metford 1888 Mark 1, Type 2 Bayonet, issued to British and allied forces during the Boer War and WW1. 75\" OAL, 12\" blade, Blade shows a spotted age patina with wear, scratches, right wood grip shows a tight crack with some tiny wood loss/chip along the spine area. This example marked "PATT 88" to the pommel along with back to back broad arrows. I received this bayonet from my grandfather and wondered if someone could help me identifying the markings. Thanks.
