Ih 1066 injection pump timing. do I have to time the head? Also I have had this off about 5 times trying to line up the mark on the bottom of the Injection head. Remove injection lines from head, pull throttle, turn pump with wrench and note which outlet on head, either number one or six delivered fuel. Leave the gear cover off, bleed the system then try to start the engine. After timing the pump the first time I wasn't positive I had it dead on because I didn't clean the paint off the changing injecter pump i ent to say clutch and TA. The Manual for these engines and timing the injection pumps is a little vague. Leave the flywheel where it is and turn the pump back to where the pointer lines up with the timing mark on the pump. The 806 pump runs 1/2 engine speed.
